THE TRUSTEE MEETING for July has been canceled.
Allie and David Houles have committed to a five-year term at Blessing Home in Pattaya in Thailand. Allie is the daughter of Jerri and Mickey Statham and attended Cokes Chapel as a child.
Amanda and Matt Hadden are serving the Oglala Lakota people in South Dakota. Amanda is the granddaughter of Sandy and Pete Cavender.
Your Ad Council recently approved our plan to support both couples this year. Since their funding is not a budgeted expense, Outreach/Mission has plans for some fundraising events to raise the pledged amount. Outreach is hosting a dinner/silent auction on August 11th to kick-off funding the Houles’ and Hadden’s. Mark your calendars, and stay tuned for more opportunities to give your support.
COMING SOON…
We are not all called to go, but we can send these special folks in the name of Cokes to do this holy work. Pray now, for them, for us as we begin our fundraising to support them. Questions? Contact Betsy Bagley: ebbagley@gmail.com.

ABOVE AND BEYOND…
Cokes Chapel regularly has “special offering’s” for outside organizations and United Methodist programs/ministries. Every special offering is important. Thank you for your generous giving! Please consider these requests as “above and beyond” your regular tithe. Your regular, steady giving is so important in the day to day financial picture. If you cut back your giving to benefit a special offering, it affects the steady flow we strive to maintain.
Thank you for all you do, and for your continued support of God’s work at Cokes Chapel. You are a generous community in every way. Every gift counts! Thank you for yours!

The Ministerial Education Fund has helped thousands of men and women become pastoral leaders in The United Methodist Church. Chances are seminary students from your congregation or the pastor of your church was a recipient of MEF. It is nurtured and funded by United Methodists to provide scholarships to seminary and undergraduate students, course-of-study for local pastors, and license to preach school.
Aligning with the theme of the 2017 Annual Conference, “Show Your Work: Worship That Inspires Action,” this fund is one way United Methodists can show our support to those called to serve as clergy. Together we can help minimize debt of North Georgia United Methodists beginning in minis- try.
MEF is a general church apportioned fund of which 25 percent is retained by our conference. But 100 percent of the giving to the Annual Conference Special Offering will go to United Methodist seminary and course of study students in the North Georgia Conference.
