 – Week 3

“THE GIFT OF WAITING”

Mary’s words of praise teach us how to wait.  Re-calibrating our hearts in this holy time requires that we pause to prepare our lives for the power of God to come into the midst of our life.  How did Mary do this?  What can we learn from Mary?

Meeting the Messiah: Scriptures for the Advent Season –  THIS SUNDAY in the Child Care “After-School” Room @ 10:10
It’s not too late to join us!  MEETING THE MESSIAH encourages you to slow down and pay attention to the real meaning of Christmas, the perspectives of the Holy Spirit, John the Baptist, Mary, the shepherds, the Magi, and Jesus himself.  This year look closely at the Christ child as if you were meeting him for the first time.

Advent Sermon Series – Week 2

“GET READY”

John the Baptist was about making the way of our heart and spiritual life clear for Jesus.  What does that mean?  What do we need to repent of?  If we were to put up some signs on our path to Jesus what might we encounter?  Slow traffic ahead, Under construction, Dangerous intersection, Speed Limit . . . what would Jesus want our signs to read?
