“Methodist Beliefs” Seminar
Ever wondered what United Methodists believe?  How is our denomination the same as or different from other denominations when it comes to thinking about and talking about God?

Every denomination or church has a particular way that we think about and/or talk about God (regardless of whether we choose to claim it).  The way that we think about and/or talk about God is called our theology.  In the United Methodist Church, we follow a Wesleyan theology and tradition, which is rooted in an emphasis on God’s love and grace.  When it comes down to it, at the heart of our understanding of God is the belief that God is love (1 John 4:8).  Our theology not only reflects what we think, but it also shapes what we think and what we do.

The congregation is invited to join the Cokes Chapel Leadership Team for this one-time seminar exploring “Methodist Beliefs.”
