VACATION

NEW DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT INSTALLATION
There will be a DS Installation Service this Sunday at 3:00 pm at LaGrange First. All clergy are invited to wear dark colored robes and white stoles (ordained only) and sit in the reserved section at the front of the sanctuary. Please encourage members of your church to attend also. There will be a reception immediately following the service.
 
WE WISH WE COULD…
Wishing Well’s* will be in the CWC and Sanctuary, with pictures of the two mission families, the Houle’s and the Hadden’s. The Wishing Well is placed to give a visible reminder to make a difference in this “above and beyond our regular giving” commitment to these families. We don’t WISH we could, we know we CAN with your generous support!
 
BETTER WAY DONATION BOX
If anyone sees items placed outside the donation box near the Fellowship Hall parking lot, please contact them at (706) 631-6202 and they will pick up the items the same day. The phone number is also on the box. With everyone’s help, we can keep the church grounds looking beautiful.

BIBLICAL HISTORICAL CENTER – AUG 22
You will encounter the ancient biblical world through its history and culture. Through authentic archaeological replicas, Biblical meal presentations, daily life artifacts in the Biblical Life Artifacts Gallery, lectures, and other personal experiences, ancient Middle Eastern life comes back to life today. We will leave the Church at 9:00 am and return 3:00 pm. Cost $35 per person. Sign up sheet located in the sanctuary. Please sign up by Aug. 3th. NEW ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Begins this week! Fit between both services at 10:10 am, you can attend either worship service and build in some fellowship and spiritual growth in small group! Everyone is encouraged to find a small group this fall.

Details: this 12-session study is perfect for groups just beginning their faith walk or anyone looking for a deeper foundation.

Following Jesus leads adults to rediscover Jesus, grow in the spirit, learn to live in faith; in service to the church, community and world.

Part 1 – Rediscovering Jesus:

Jesus the Messiah; Unique Characteristics of Jesus; Savior of the World; Our Lord.

Part 2 – Growing in the Spirit:

The Holy Spirit; Understanding Spiritual Fruit; Understanding Spiritual Gifts; Sharing the Spirit.

Spiritual Disciplines; Keys to God’s Heart; The Church; Understanding God’s Call; God’s Place for You.

OUTREACH – TICKETS ALMOST GONE!
• Fiesta Meal and Auction – Last Sunday to get your tickets for the August 11th evening of fun! The silent auction will include baskets, coupons, and other items. See Outreach members today for tickets.
• Custom framed Cokes Chapel Photo – Cliff Seyler is making custom framed photos of our beloved church to sell as a fundraiser. HOLLONVILLE OPRY HOUSE MUSICAL CELEBRATION
Come join us on a trip to the Hollonville Opry House to enjoy some gospel, country, folk, bluegrass, folk, Irish, and 50’s music with the Cokes Chapel group, Tommy & Rita Godwin, and Luke Beam on Saturday, Aug. 5th. There is no charge for the event or the refreshments, however, a donation box is available to show your appreciation. All proceeds go to the upkeep of the building. The church bus leaves Cokes Chapel at 5:30 pm sharp! The show starts at 6:30 pm. If you want to drive, the address is 51 Kings Bridge Road, Williamson, GA 30292; take GA Hwy 16 to Hollonville Road / Kings Bridge Road. Travel time from the church is about 30 minutes. STEP UP SUNDAY
On Aug. 6th, the youth will be promoted to the next grade level. K-5th grades will meet in the After School room; then the kickoff for the New Youth Group Sunday School class for the 6th-12th grade will meet in the Youth House. Sunday school is from 10:10 am to 10:50 am every Sunday. All school age children & teachers, please join us in the 9:00 am & 11:00 am worship service to receive a “Back To School Blessing”.

CHILDCARE CENTER REQUIREMENTS
Anyone who performs maintenance or volunteer work at the Childcare Center when children are present is required to have a background check & be fingerprinted. Please check with the Childcare Director about how to go about doing this (770) 253-6414.
