A NOTE FROM SPR . . . .

Staff Parish Relations and The United Methodist Women cordially invite you to share in a RETIREMENT CELEBRATION BRUNCH for Pastor Lisa Dempsey on Sunday, June 6, 2021, in the Fellowship Hall immediately following Worship.
After 23 years in Ministry, Pastor Lisa is finally retiring. This will allow her to have a much-needed time of rest and time with family. We will miss her beautiful spirit, her smile, her in-depth Bible Studies, and her great sermons. We will miss her very presence! And we will all miss that awesome Pastoral Spouse Jack Dempsey.
Please join us in this time of CELEBRATION. It will be a time of joy and a time of sad farewells. It will be an opportunity for everyone to speak personally to Pastor Lisa, as we know so many wish to do.
Love and Blessings to all!
Margie Jones, SPR
Sherba Peek, UMW
P.S.
If you care to contribute a brunch dish it will be so much appreciated. If you care to contribute to a Gift for Pastor Lisa that will be so much appreciated also. You may contact Margie Jones at 770-253-9392 or Sherba Peek at 770-253-2679 to contribute either or both.

Last Call for Chef Boyardee!!
We just need about ten more cases to meet our goal for Backpack Buddies! Bring a case to church Sunday – or donate $10, and we will shop for you. Thanks for helping feed the children in our community!
A Most Important Reminder –
Mark the date on your calendar: Saturday, August 14, 6 pm in the Worship Center as we are plan and pray for our Southern Picnic/Silent Auction!! All proceeds will benefit our three missionary families – the Earles in Italy, the Hadden’s in South Dakota, and the Houles in Thailand.
How Can You Help? If you have items – a “like-new” item, a service (baking, etc.) or places: a second home at the beach, mountains or lake that you could open for a long weekend or week, your participation is how Cokes has been able to support our missionaries throughout the year. Each year, God has mightily used your creative and generous ways to fund missions literally around the world!
If you think you have something that would be a good addition to our auction, please contact Betsy Bagley or another Outreach Team member. ebbagley@gmail.com

MINISTRY MESSAGE: INTER-GENERATIONAL & YOUTH MINISTRY, May 26, 2021:
In Inter-generational Ministry, everyone is welcome as the Inter-generational Sunday School Class gathers in-person before worship each week in the Worship Center from 8:40-9:40 AM. We are starting a new unit that will explore the ways that God revealed God’s self as evidenced in the Bible: through self-declaration, quietness, visions, love, and most importantly, Jesus. This coming Sunday, May 30th, we will study Exodus 33:12-23 and discuss the special ways that God is revealed to Moses.
In Youth Ministry, we gathered at the Youth House this past Sunday for a time of creativity and fellowship. As we enter the month of June, we will have more opportunities for fun together. We are planning for a day trip and a kick off to summer party! More information to come!
God is at work all around us! May we hold each other by heart and lift each other by prayer as we seek to follow in the way of Christ!
With love,
Kim
