Delve into the book of Luke this summer to hear some great advice from the Master. Luke’s stories give concrete instruction as he answers questions from learned scholars, disciples and people in the crowd. Don’t you have questions? Join with this varied audience to listen, reflect and learn what Jesus offers on how to live the Best life!

New Ministry with our Child Care!
In addition to our Mission Camp which is co-sponsored and held at the First UMC in Newnan on July 23-25 (Tues.-Thurs.) from 9am-2pm, the Cokes Chapel United Methodist Women (UMW) will be sponsoring a Jr. Mission Camp for K-2nd graders on the same dates, titled “TAKING CARE OF GOD’S CREATION”. It will be through the Cokes Chapel Childcare Center and will be held from 9:00-11: 15 am.
Our CCCC children will be exploring God’s world through scripture, song, Bible stories, crafts, games and, of course, snacks, like eating “dirt and worms”! They will make the connection between God’s wonderful creation and how they can help take care of the earth, the animals, and the people.
Cokes Chapel UMW ladies are in need of a little assistance on or before July 23, 24, 25.
1. Volunteers – Call or email V. Snyder (770) 304-6563 or vcsnyder@bellsouth.net to donate your time one or more days (teachers will also be present!).
DONATE:
2. 35 clean, ½-gallon milk jugs with label removed and cap secured. Children will be recycling and creating a watering jug from the milk jugs;
3. Prepackaged combination toothbrush and toothpaste. Please purchase a few to help our children pack small bags to hand out to those less fortunate;
4. 35 paint stir paddles: Lowe’s or Home Depot will donate 5 or 6 paint paddles per customer. Children will make balloon busters with a “helping hand” paddle.
5. Other: UMW will also accept any contribution or donation above your normal tithe to assist with costs.
Bins are located in the church narthex for donations. Please put your financial donation in an envelope labeled Jr. Mission Camp (checks should be made to Cokes Chapel UMW). The UMW ladies thank you for your support, including your prayers for the children and the leaders! We are excited for this new way to reach out to our neighbors and the children in our community. Questions? Contact Vivian Snyder (see above).
