Happy New Year!!
|
2020 was quite the year and I’m sure we are all hoping that this new year does truly bring a new beginning. For us, we are definitely moving forward into a new beginning. Last week, on January 3rd, Eva and I got married in Georgetown, Tennessee! We had a wonderful and restful honeymoon in Asheville, North Carolina, and are now living in Ooltewah, Tennessee, until we are able to get back to Italy. Now that Eva has finished college and the wedding is finished, we can finally pick things back up with the visa process, which we are hoping to have completed by April. With the craziness of the last 4 months, I haven’t sent out an update in a while. So here are a few things that have happened: |
|
OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2020
At the beginning of October, I left for Forest City, North Carolina, to lead a month and a half long training time with a group of students who would spend the next 8 months in Guatemala. This was very exciting for our Global Year Team, not only because it is the first group we have sent there, but also because we were able to send students abroad despite the travel restrictions stunting global missions around the world. This time with the students was truly so impactful for them. We really feel like they were better prepared spiritually for their time overseas. Please be in prayer with us as they continue to serve in Guatemala.
DECEMBER 2020
During December, Eva was finishing up her undergraduate education at Dalton State College. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in English and a 4.0! It was so fun to celebrate her hard work even through a virtual ceremony at home. We spent the rest of the month preparing for the wedding and enjoying the holidays with our family.
JANUARY 2021
Our wedding was such an incredible day and we were so pleased with how it all turned out. We had so much help throughout the weekend and were really able to enjoy the day without any worries.
Now, that we are married, we feel like we can finally begin moving forward with the visa process again. We are working on gathering several documents which we will need in order to apply for the visa in Miami. Please be in prayer with us as we work on this in the next few months. We will also be trying to gather the last bit of our monthly support. |

We often hear the words “Hindsight is 20/20,” but I want to share these words with you today; “2020 is Hindsight”. The year 2020 held challenges we have never seen before. Individuals, families, churches, businesses, and governments worldwide have been impacted due to the Global Pandemic.
As you can see from the 2020 annual recap, we have been blessed with faithful givers. We have continued to support our three missionaires, Luthersville, One Roof, The Needy Family fund and have paid our bills. You have made a big difference in the work our church is doing.
Thank you for supporting Cokes Chapel! We are honored you would bless us with your generosity!

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”

MINISTRY MESSAGE: INTER-GENERATIONAL & YOUTH MINISTRY, January 13, 2021:
In Inter-generational Ministry, the Inter-generational Sunday School class is currently meeting via Zoom on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am. This winter’s focus is “Hope.” Our current unit for study explores Scripture passages related to the theme “God with Us.” This week we will reflect on and discuss Philippians 2:1-11 and what it means to imitate Christ. If you are interested in participating in this Zoom Sunday School gathering please contact Kim at kim.reindl@gmail.com or simply join us on Sunday morning. The recurring Zoom link is
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84276399302?pwd=M3Vsb1RHL2lmYlptTi94RGF3QkZTUT09.
No prior participation, nor preparation, is required.
Also, in Inter-generational ministry, we will begin a new study for the season of Lent starting on Sunday, February 21. Look for more information to come!
In Youth Ministry, we are beginning the new year with “Cocoa and Conversation.” I will be talking with our youth individually over the next couple of weeks via Zoom or phone. This will be a time of checking-in with our young people to listen about how things are going with them, as well as a time to gather feedback and suggestions about where and how they would like to engage within the church and with others in the coming year as we seek to grow as followers of Christ.
God is at work all around us! May we hold each other by heart and lift each other by prayer as we journey together, and apart!
With love,
Kim
