We continue to support our three missionary families: Allie and David Houle; Amanda and Matt Hadden; and Caleb Earle. We were not able to have our Dinner/Silent Auction in August because of covid limitations.
Please consider donating to our missionary fund to help meet our pledges to these three families until we are able to have some fundraisers. A one-time donation or once-a-month gifts would be appreciated. Designate donation for “Missionaries” when you give.
Have a wonderful 2021 and help our missionaries as they serve!
Again, thank you for supporting the 20 gifts for children and additional gifts for eleven children in our community. Thank you to everyone who has helped make Christmas even more special for these children.

Cokes Chapel UMC Finance Committee would like to thank the congregation for their faithful reoccurring contributions during this unusual year that we shall remember as the year of the great Covid pandemic when we had to close the doors of our beautiful little church. Many of us have struggle to make sense of all the different rules and regulations this event has created for us personally and collectively. We have struggled as our close community of believers have succumbed to worship on-line, perhaps attend another church, or unfortunately not worship at all. The Bibles tells us God is good even in the bad times…trust Him. We have heard it many times, that God has always taken care of us and, in my experience, He has!
As new leadership takes over this committee, we should continue to trust God with His infinite wisdom and goodness to take care of His church even in the bad times. We hope that this new year will bring us hope in the future, peace in our hearts, joy of Jesus Christ on our faces and, the greatest of these, love within our hearts. Immanuel! Amen
Vivian Snyder, outgoing Finance Chairperson

MINISTRY MESSAGE: INTER-GENERATIONAL & YOUTH MINISTRY, January 6, 2021:
In Youth Ministry, our annual Youth Christmas Party was held outdoors at the Youth House on Sunday, December 20th. We gathered around the campfire and enjoyed a fabulous meal (thanks to Jackie Simpson, Arianna Smith, and Carma McCallie), while playing games like detecting Christmas carol and movie names through emojis, peppermint stack contests (family table groups competing against each other), Christmas trivia, and a luminary treasure hunt! We were grateful to be able to adapt our annual gathering in such a way as to honor the need for safe practices while still allowing us to celebrate the joy of the season together!

In Inter-generational Ministry, the Inter-generational Sunday School class will resume weekly classes via Zoom starting this Sunday, January 10th from 9:30-10:30 am. Each week we will study a passage of Scripture through reading, reflection, and discussion, as well as engage in spiritual practices together in this virtual gathering. These Zoom Sunday School classes will continue until we are able to gather again for in-person worship. If you are interested in participating in this Zoom Sunday School class, please contact Kim at kim.reindl@gmail.com. No prior participation, nor preparation, is required.
God is at work all around us! May we hold each other by heart and lift each other by prayer as we journey together, and apart!
With love,
Kim
