NEW SERMON SERIES STARTS JUNE 28TH – HOT TIME IN THE SUMMERTIME!
Some of the most intriguing stories in the Bible have to do with heat. Fire and the presence of God make for lasting impressions in both the Old and New Testament. Plan now to be with us for exploring how God gets our attention. Escape the heat of summer, come into the cool for worship and experience the fire that comes from being in God’s presence! Sundays, June 28th through July 9th
Our Food Pantry is at work in our community. We have had several families contact us during the past few weeks to ask for help with food. We met with them and were able to provide food for these families and their young children. We are planning to make the pantry more available in the future. We will need donations of food and will let you know next week where and when to drop them off. Most needed items are:
spaghetti and spaghetti sauce
peanut butter and jelly
canned meats
baked beans
egg noodles
macaroni and cheese
dry beans
rice
crackers
cereal
canned vegetables (other than green beans and corn) |

Once again, the lights are on, staff has been paid, and bills have been paid so far. As long as program chairs keep spending to essentials ONLY, we should be able to keep the lights on. Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity. We are truly EASTER people with hope and joy!
BUILDING USE AND ENTRY
The Sanctuary was found unlocked again. Please remember to re-lock all doors that you unlock. This is God’s home, please treat it as your own.
Cokes Chapel Childcare is now using the Worship Center for rooms to accommodate our social distance requirements.
Due to our Child Safety Policy, until further notice, Monday-Friday, no entry allowed through the worship center doors between 6:00 am and 6:30 pm. No exceptions. Should you need to access the Worship Center, please check in through the CCCC office to gain entry.
INTERGENERATIONAL, YOUTH, & CHILDREN’S DISCIPLESHIP
This week’s Inter-generational Sunday School lesson focuses on Isaiah 58:1-14. In this Sunday’s Scripture passage, the Israelites are struggling to connect with God and build a just society. The lesson will explore issues of justice and righteousness and how the faith community is to support right relationship with God and neighbor.
If you would like to be included in the email list and receive the lesson each week, please contact Kim Reindl at kim.reindl@gmail.com. Each lesson includes commentary to help enlighten your study, questions for thought and reflection, as well as an optional activity that can be done at home with children and/or youth.
In Youth Ministry, we are in the process of developing a summer plan for our “new normal.” Our guiding Scripture is Psalm 105:3—”Let the hearts rejoice of all those seeking the Lord!”
Our goal is to continue to create grace filled environments where young people are actively SEEKing to walk in the way of Christ for the sake of the world. (Service, Exploration, Engagement, Kinship)
God is at work all around us! May we hold each other by heart and lift each other by prayer as we journey together, yet apart!
With love,
Kim
