NATIVITY SCENE? Cliff Seyler and Thom McCague are working on pulling a group of talented individuals together to create our own Nativity Scene for next Christmas. Anyone interested please contact Cliff at cliffcfc@yahoo.com or Thom at thommc49@gmail.com

Backpack Buddies – Supplies and Food needed:
This organization helps supply many Coweta County children with food for weekends and holidays. Cokes Chapel helps pack bags quarterly.

We have been asked to collect grocery store plastic bags as each week, 500 bags are needed. We can help with that! Save your bags when you shop, check that there are no holes, smooth them out, and bring them to the church.

In February we will also collect Chef BOYARDEE Variety Packs with 12 microwavable bowls. A case of 12 costs about $10.

We will have containers in the narthex and CWC for the plastic bags and the Chef BOYARDEE. — so please help.

Candidates Forum for Congressional Seat GA 3rd

ERT Sessions
The North Georgia Conference offers a slate of UMCOR Early Response Training in several locations across the conference. The participant earns a badge that would designate him/her as prepared and qualified to enter disaster areas and give assistance.  There will be a training class held on March 3rd at the Cornerstone UMC from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Betsy Bagley at ebbagley@gmail.com.

HOLLONVILLE OPRY SATURDAY NIGHT MUSICAL CELEBRATION – On Saturday night, Feb 3, come enjoy some gospel, country, folk, bluegrass, Irish, 50’s music with our Cokes Chapel group, Tommy and Rita Godwin and Luke Beam. Two other bands will follow.  There is NO CHARGE for the Opry or the refreshments; however, a donation box is available for you to show your appreciation. Proceeds go to the upkeep of the building.  There is NO CHARGE for the bus which leaves Cokes Chapel at 5:30 sharp. Show starts at 6:30.  Come clap, sing, clog, dance, celebrate life! C U There!

CHILD CARE AID FUND – Our Childcare Center needs contributions to our Financial Aid Fund. This fund helps our parents defray some of the costs of daycare for their children. You may give cash, checks or credit card contributions at the Childcare Center. Thank you so much for helping with this important ministry.

COKES CHAPEL FOOD PANTRY WAS VERY LOW ON FOOD ITEMS! You are so responsive to our request! Our pantry is looking so much better and ready for giving to our local families.

ONE ROOF ECUMENICAL ALLIANCE OUTREACH – Special thank you to Cokes Chapel for contributions to One Roof for 2017. One Roof was able to give back 100% of all monetary donations to people in need. Donations are low, and people are still in need. Help Us Help Others!

SCOUTING FOR FOOD FEB 10 – The Scouts will be making the rounds in the community, door to door, on Saturday Feb. 10th. If you would like to donate extra dry or canned goods drop them off at Cokes Chapel Saturday morning by 9am to add to the collection efforts.

DISTRICT TRAINING EVENT – Jan. 28, ALL Clergy and Committee Chairs: Make plans to go or send a representative from your committee to attend this training event where workshops will be offered for: SPR, Finance, Trustees, Church Council, One Board Structure, UMCOR & Disaster Response, Church Security, Faith Sharing, Safe Sanctuary training, and a mission project for children.
