MISSIONS/OUTREACH TEAM MEETING FEBRUARY 8, 2017 AT 7:00 PM Cokes Chapel is a mission-minded church. Our congregation is a caring and loving one, so there is a lot going on here. We love each other very much, but we also want to show God’s love to people not in our church. We donate food, money, and supplies to children’s homes, food pantries, thrift stores, and shelters. We give gifts and food at Thanksgiving and Christmas to those less fortunate here in our community and around the world. We sing at nursing homes, prepare and serve meals at Trinity Table, deliver Meals on Wheels – and these are just some of our missions. A lot is being done, but there is much more to do. We all have talents and interests, and hopefully, every member will become involved in some kind of outreach project. Please join us Wednesday, February 8th, at 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall to make our plans for ways we can make a difference in 2017. If you have any questions, please contact Betsy and Earl Bagley at 770-301-2577 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

UM Blessing Home for Children – Thailand
Mickey and Jerri Statham’s daughter and son-in-law, Allie and David Houle will be traveling to Thailand to visit the United Methodist Blessing Home for children. Allie asked what they could bring and was told that they have vitamins for the children but they don’t taste good and the children don’t like to take them so gummy vitamins would be a welcome gift. They are leaving the last week in September so we have 3 Sundays to collect. Allie and David have asked their church to donate and of course, we can help too. They hope to take a whole suitcase full. You can read about the Blessing home at http://www.thailandmethodist.org/
