Update on our Vision Action teams:   Action Teams have been meeting to flesh out areas that our study groups discerned:
Childcare Action Team to develop and implement plans for: intentional outreach including youth programs w/CCC children that adults will join; Prayer Team to expand the prayer to include congregational involvement; and adult volunteers with our Child Care Center. Teams are already working!
Sunday Morning Action Plan  to Unify our church through worship; additional Bible Studies; and expanded prayer opportunities.
In the Combined Worship area, we have been mindful of the potential impact of combining these distinct services. It has become clear that BOTH services are important to the Cokes family.  As one member observed, we are not called to diminish, but to expand ways to offer Christ to others.
God desires that we act as one body, Unified! Though distinctly different, we are one church. Our unified heart for proclaiming the Gospel, while honoring our uniqueness will reveal new strengths to serve Christ together. Pass on the Good News!  Both 9 and 11 o’clock worship services will continue, with occasional combined services due to special events.

Join us for this time of action and real blessing:

We encourage you to be in prayer for the United Methodist Church. Pray for open hearts that will allow an honorable, respectful, loving conversation between all opinions.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to direct all decisions and let us trust in the Lord for an outcome that is pleasing to God. Outreach invites you to meet at the church at 9:30 to ride the church bus.  If you would like to go and/or provide one of the food items that we take, there are signup sheets in the narthex and the Worship Center.  Please consider joining us!  Worship March 24 !
We are excited to announce the Discovery Weekend spiritual formation retreat will take place again this spring at Cokes Chapel UMC! March 22-24 will be a time for middle school youth to grow in relationship with God & one another as they are led by high school youth and adults. During the weekend the youth will have an opportunity to get to know the love of God & the love of the church on a whole new level through engaging worship, inspiring talks, & life-changing small group time.  This year we will have a special emphasis on serving others as we partner with Bridging the Gap to engage in serving our community on the Saturday morning of the retreat.

Last year during the Discovery Weekend the Cokes Chapel family united in a remarkable way to show God’s love to our young people. Your generosity amazed the youth as you gave so freely of your time and resources to offer this opportunity for them! We have no doubt that you will rise to the occasion again this year!
Contact Kim Reindl at (kreindl@cokeschapel.org or (404) 388-4292 to volunteer as a leader, help with meals/snacks, prepare for worship, serve on the prayer team, or simply serve wherever there is a need.  We are all very excited to see what God will bring forth during our time together! Mark your calendar for March 22-24 and plan to be part of this amazing event!
