Announcements 7/13/16

You may see some plywood…

and other signs of progress in the next weeks at the Chapel.  The Trustees are beginning the first steps to replace the door in the middle right wall of the sanctuary as it is unusable and rotting.  The Trustees are delighted to announce that we will be replacing the door with a custom stain glass window to complement the other windows.  There will be some occasions you will find temporary openings sealed with plywood as they replace and repair the wall/door area.

We look forward to the Sunday that we dedicate our final stain glass piece, and ask you to be patient with our progress.

Chapel Side

Next Sunday the Youth will be returning from the River of Life Mission Trip and will help in presenting both Worship Services. Please plan on being here and showing them the love and support that they have in our congregation!

Sheets with specific items are available on the information tables and in the church office. Containers for collection of these items will be in both services.

3 Day Kid’s Mission Camp
WHAT: Join us Coke’s Chapel UMC partners with Newnan First UMC to give kids the “hands-on” experience of serving others.  Each day we’ll gather at Newnan First UMC for worship, bible study, and participation in a different service project.  Kids are asked to bring their own sack lunch as we’ll end each day with a time of fellowship and reflection, recapping that day’s events while preparing our hearts for the next day’s adventure.
This will also be a time of partnership with the Cokes Chapel Childcare Center as older kids will be offered the opportunity to attend Mission Camp as a daily field trip, while younger kids will experience daily devotionals and be encouraged to collect item donations.
